After two weeks filled mainly with ordering all kinds of electronic components from many distinct e-shops, the second meeting of our rocket team, IGBS, took place. This time, one part of our team took advantage of the sunny afternoon and decided to start the meeting already at 3:00 pm in the neighboring park in front of the NTK building…
The attendants were Patrik Kovář, Jan Pařez and Adam Tater. After a while, Adam and Patrik relocated into our favorite tavern ‘U Topolů’, where they were able to get a free table. A productive discussion could start.
At 7:30 pm, Tomáš Kaňka and Jakub Pařez arrived into the pub. Pařez had brought the 2D drawing of the electronic board together with some electronic components so the rest of the team could be introduced to the concept of rocket electronics. Based on the dimensions of the electronic board, Adam and Patrik, designers of the rocket body, were able to discuss the necessary modification in the construction of the rocket and alteration in the assembly process.
While Pařez was proving his gift to neutralize every pint of beer that is put in front of him, he managed to drop one key electronic component into Adam’s beer. Adam had no other choice than immediately finish the whole beer to save the part. Mission was accomplished and Pařez managed to dry the component.
The layout of the electronics is almost done. The mechanical design is in progress. Despite the global lack of microchips, the necessary electronic components have been ordered from various e-shops and should arrive in the next week. The python app is slowly improving. Everything seems to be on a good track towards June when the take-off is going to take place. Wish us luck and see you later by another blog post.
